Mandibular Fractures

Facial trauma cases involving mandibular fractures are among the most common maxillofacial emergencies seen in dental and surgical practice. A fractured jaw not only causes severe pain and swelling but also affects chewing, speech, and overall facial aesthetics. In this blog, we present a rare case of multiple mandibular fractures in a 40-year-old female patient, including angle fracture, parasymphysis fracture, condylar fracture, and coronoid fracture—all treated successfully with intermaxillary fixation (IMF) and plating.
